Clearwater Festival at Croton Point Park. Music and whitehall gigs.

July 4

Great Parade of Flags, New York Harbor. Celebrate Independence Day and the working vessels of the harbor with a parade along the lower East River, the Hudson River and the Upper Harbor. Join us for a dawn row on the East River as far as Newtown Creek

July 19

Go Fish Festival, East 96th Street, and the East River: a great opportunity for children and grown-ups to get a hands-on lesson about the fish that swim in the East River. Free catch-and-release fishing and games for all ages.

July 20

Hook to Hook Row 1.0. East River CREW's annual row to Horn's Hook on Manhattan's Upper East Side. This is your chance to see the East and Harlem Rivers from a brand new perspective.

August 2

Go Fish Festival, East 96th Street and the East River: another great opportunity for children and grown-ups to get a hands-on lesson about the fish that swim in the East River. Free catch-and-release fishing and games for all ages.

August 3

Hook to Hook Row 2.0. The tides this summer are giving us a second chance to row up and down the river.

October 5

National Estuary Day. Celebrate the East River with another Go Fish Festival. Impress your friends when you can explain why the East River is not really a river at all.

December 6

American Star Race. The annual get-together of gigs from around the area for friendly competition. Learn the history of this exciting reenactment of the victory by John Magnus, the 14 year old American coxswain over a team of over-confident English sailors.

Coxswain weekend and the annual American Star rowing race are events we have enjoyed in other years as well
